From 22-24th October the EU Dog and Cat Alliance will be attending the final EU CALLISTO Project Conference in Brussels.
The CALLISTO project is a three-year EU funded project looking at infectious diseases which can be passed from companion animals to people and food animals.
The project brings together international academic leaders and key representatives from various organisations, from different fields of expertise. The experts are split into seven ‘Expert Advisory Groups’ which each year meet to discuss and exchange knowledge on the topic. Towards the end of each year, in October, a conference is held to synthesise the information gathered by the Expert Advisory Groups that year.
This year, the project is in its third and final year and is focusing on priority areas for action. This includes recommendations for intervention strategies and areas for further research.
The final CALLISTO conference will be held in Brussels from 22-24th October and will be attended by the EU Dog and Cat Alliance. For updates from the conference, you can follow us on Twitter here.
